How do I deal with a 502/503 error when sending mail?
A 502 or 503 error message from your server when you attempt to send mail usually means that you are using the wrong 'authentication' settings for your email account. This could be attempting to use a password when it is not required or perhaps using the wrong type of authentication.
With your email settings, mail only works when you can make the settings match what your provider wants, not what you or we think would be logical!
Go to the Tools Menu, then Mail Accounts. Find the account you were attempting to send from and highlight it, then click on Properties.
On the outgoing settings, look for the checkboxes below your user name and password. These checkboxes control the authentication options in !ntellect.
The most common solution is to uncheck the Use Simple Password box when it was checked before and to try to send your message again.
