How do I create my own Stationery?
Creating your own stationery (or editing existing ones) is easy with Intellect. There are two methods for doing this.
The first method is the easiest way and is built into Intellect directly. If you choose to create an HTML message, you will have an option of Saving it directly as Stationery. For instance, create a new HTML message. Customize this message any way you like. Then click on File and Save As Stationery. This new message will then be an option in the HTML drop down list for New Messages.
The second method will allow you to use your own html editor to create or modify existing stationery. You can also use Notepad if you know your way in HTML lingo.
If you go to your Start button, then to Run, type in %appdata% and run that. This will open your Application Data folder, where you will find a folder called Chaos Software with a subdirectory of Stationery. This folder contains the html files that can be used as templates within Intellect. (If you don't have a Stationery folder here, older versions of Intellect used a directory in our program location, which would be C:\Program Files\Chaos Software\Intellect ).
These html files can be created with a text editor or any html editing software you may have. In addition, you could copy one of the existing html files and modify it to your needs. Remember, all images and other items added to the html file will need to be in this same directory.
If you were to create your own html file in this directory that contained an image or whatever you like, it could then be used as stationery from within the program. When you do create a new html file, you would need to close and restart Intellect to have the new file show as an option with the other templates.
You can access this option within Intellect by clicking the small down arrow directly to the right of the "New Message" button. This will bring up a list of html templates. This list comes directly from those found in the Stationery folder.
